Livorno a Port City in Tuscany

Livorno is a port city on the west coast of Tuscany in Italy. It’s also the City I lost my heart to in Tuscany. Port Cities have always their own charm – Livorno is no exception. Bleached out, left, almost morbid. Of course, it depends on the season. I am sure it’s buzzing with tourists in summer, seemingly yet another cheap Italian spot at the coast of the Ligurian sea.

Palazzo Pitti

Palazzo Pitti

To make it in the Palazzo Pitti without endless queuing in the hot sun you either book a tour or you come very late. Half an hour was left for me to visit one exhibition. decide what you want to see, because you pay either for the museum or for one of the exhibitions. The people at the counter are not very interested in helping you or understanding you, while I asked for a ticket to see „celebrating wool“ I got a ticket that allowed me to see the „womens power“ exhibition.

Orto Botanico di Firenze

Botanical Gardens in Florence

Orto Botanico di Firenze – is the botanical gardens in Florence and an oasis of calmness in a buzzing city. I have never ever visited a city as loud as Florence. It is actually very, very exhausting. To escape the noises I went into the botanical gardens, what was a good plan for proximately 15 minutes and then some groups arrived. The botanical garden looks more like the garden the Monte Christo or another mysterious Earl who left his huge Villa behind and the beautiful garden is left in the wilderness.
