This very popular café by Ngoc Duong and Olivia Wood opened in 2011 and, as far as I know, hit the spot from the very beginning. It really reminded me of some of the lovely small English style cafés around Margate and Ramsgate such as Fort’s and The Greedy Cow, or Age and Son’s but with a hint of American / Canadian style in their offerings. The Scones and cakes we tried were absolutely delicious. They had some lemonades which I hadn’t seen before and the staff were all very friendly. I heard, it is sometimes hard to get a table but on this occasion we were lucky.
The Bagels are reportedly as good as those in New York. I, unfortunately, haven’t tried them yet but if you have, let me know if they are as good as they say.
