do you like churches? or temple? I am having a soft spot for them. there are only a few places where i can go and have time for my own, and just dive into my mind, or better loose my mind. I am practicing of course to meditate everywhere but i always thought a nice surrounding, a quiet place, an atmosphere filled with spirituality supports me on the way.
the buddhistic house is such a place. it has a wonderful atmosphere. the house itself and the little temple on the side as well. the thing that impressed me most is that you feel the spirituality but besides that it is such a “normal” place. the monks are living and studying and praying there. that’s it. no glamour, no guru, ….
the best place for my is always the library, a room so calm and quiet and than the view. i like to sit there and just stare out of the huge window to the beautiful garden.
the people living there are so friendly, they always share a nice word with you and if they have time they have a tea with you and talk about buddhism, spirituality, meditation, the life of a monk or whatever your questions are. I had some really inspiring talks with tissa weeraratna
I think Jonathan likes the library as well!
